Pastor Mike Breininger has been the Senior Pastor of Richland Center Fellowship since 1989. He has guided the church in its mission to reach people for Christ and teach all that Jesus commands. He is the writer and director of the “Keys” Easter drama that has reached over 40,000 people with the life-giving message of redemption. He has written the book “Recovery From the Fall—A Transformational View of Regaining the Character of Christ” and “Conflict Resolution—A Biblical Approach to Relational Health and Healing in the Church.” Pastor Mike also teaches international for the missions organization “Youth With A Mission (YWAM)”.
Pastor Mike has been married to the wife of his youth, Christy, since August of 1979. Together, he and Christy have seven biological children and six adopted children. They have been foster parents for over 30 children over the years. They have also had many young adults in transition live with them over the years. Additionally, Pastor Mike has helped many families adopt and foster children who could be considered “orphans”.
The educational background of Pastor Mike includes a bachelor’s degree in economics form the University of Wisconsin-Madison and theological graduate studies at Trinity Theological Seminary. He established a K4—12 grade Christian School in 1991 and has organized and assisted home schooling families since 1988.
Some of Pastor Mike’s community involvement includes his role on the Richland County Ethics Committee, the Richland County Jail Chaplain for 15 years, the Foster Parent trainer for Richland County Health and Human Services, Soccer coach at the elementary, high school and university levels, wrestling coach at the elementary and high levels, and President of the Richland County Ministerial Association and President of the Evangelical Minister’s Association.
